Sharon Eagleman

Sharon Eagleman is an experienced behavioral health professional with over 25 years of service to American Indian and Alaska Native communities. She specializes in culturally responsive suicide prevention, strategic action planning, and the delivery of technical assistance for SAMHSA-funded initiatives.

Ms. Eagleman has served in key roles including Grantee Technical Assistant, Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator, Education Research Analyst, and Director of American Indian Programs. Her expertise spans behavioral health, substance use prevention, trauma-informed programming, grant compliance, and community capacity-building.

She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from North Dakota State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Montana State University–Billings, and is currently completing her EdD in Higher Education Administration at the University of Missouri–Kansas City.

Ms. Eagleman is certified as an Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructor and a GONA (Gathering of Native Americans) Facilitator. She has deep regional expertise in the Great Plains, Midwest, and Pacific Northwest, and is affiliated with the National Indian Education Association (NIEA) and AIHEC institutions. Her work is grounded in culturally affirming practices that support Native youth, families, and communities.
