Laura Porterfield, MBA

Laura Porterfield holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Project Management and is a proud member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. She has over 15 years of experience in grants, other federal funding programs, and federal government contracting. She has successfully led a variety of multipart projects, including most recently planning and implementing a conference for over 250 federal grantees. Ms. Porterfield regularly oversees team members across multiple time zones with a focus on communication and reporting for two federal contracts. She and her team regularly strive to innovate tasks and improve efficiencies. Ms. Porterfield has extensive skills in Smartsheet, an online software that has been essential in information gathering and increasing team knowledge and information sharing. She has used Smartsheet to create innovative platforms that are currently being used by all stakeholders including contract staff, grantees, and federal contacts.
